A rise in cultural life takes its place. The secular mood and motives start to infiltrate into the religious architecture. At this particular time the painting of churches in different colors started, and the fanciful patterns appeared in ornament. An independent architectural style appears, named as the “Naryshkin Baroque”. The Novo-Duevitchiye Nunnery on the Moskva-river and the Our Lady of the Sign Church in Sheremetyev yard may typify this style.
